I use my photography a lot for reflection. I find there are lessons to learn in everything.

As January is often viewed as the month of new beginnings, I thought it would be nice to share some wintery shots that show signs of life, fresh starts, and new beginnings. Winter can be very difficult, but I like finding little signs of hope, and signs that something fresh is just around the corner.

A lot of people say you shouldn’t share your raw images. However, sometimes there’s beauty in the raw capture. The only editing these images have been subject to are some cropping, rotation, and the addition of a watermark. I’m rather proud of my in-camera work!

They’re not high resolution this time, as I’m working on my next print run. I’d love to hear some feedback on these images – does the hope radiate from them for you?

In the meantime, I have a selection of my favourite images available in both digital and physical versions over on Etsy. If you follow my shop, you’ll be notified when I add new products or run sales.

If you’re not in the market for prints, you can support my work by sharing, commenting, or giving small monetary contributions via Ko-Fi!

Why not explore the New Beginnings tab for more ideas, reflections, art & writings?
