As we continue the month of awakening, I wanted to spend some time taking stock from the environment and the lessons that are appearing at this time of year.

I’ve been taking a lot of cues from my environment recently. The mornings and evenings are brighter, and we’ve recently been experiencing sunshine and blue skies. It’s still cold – winter hasn’t fully gone yet – but it’s changing.

I’m not the only one to feel it either. My TikTok FYP and every story I’ve seen on Facebook recently has been about the weather.

I know that it isn’t over yet, but there’s something so hopeful about this weather. As the buds and early flowers emerge, the days seem a little bit brighter, and the colour slowly seeps back into the landscape… Everything feels a bit more possible.

I’ve been working on a lot of projects recently. Some of them haven’t been working out. Some of them are heading in new directions. I’ve been invited to get involved in new projects. It seems fitting that this new period of growth should coincide with the first signs of hope.

I recently started a course with Enterprising Ashfield on developing start-up ideas and learning about the basics of running a business. I’m looking at taking the work I’ve been doing on the blog – or at least, the work I’ve been trying to do – in a new direction.

Sometimes it’s time to recognise when the way you’re doing things isn’t working and to bring new direction to your purpose. I’ll be sharing more about what I’m planning to do over the next few weeks; I’ll be looking at ways to balance it between the real world and the online one.

Essentially, I started this blog to explore my redevelopment as I fully embraced a new stage of life. I’ve done a lot of reflection – and I hope the reflective resources I’ve provided have been of help. But the online world is so large and can feel cold. But the same is true of the everyday.

As a result of this, I’m looking to bring my work offline in the form of community workshops. I’m excited to see how they develop! I’ll be looking at ways of continuing this work online, too. But I’m feeling really hopeful about the future – and it’s not just because the days are literally a bit brighter!

Have you noticed any change in your mood as the seasons change?
