Hello again in the month of self-love! For this week’s witchcraft post, I thought we’d kick off the month with a simple tarot spread to support your self-love journey and reflections.

I’ve written previously about how tarot can be a useful tool for reflection if you think you need a little bit more guidance on how to approach this method of reflective divination.

As a quick reminder, my relationship with tarot is reflective rather than predictive. Of course, feel free to adapt this spread to your own relationship with tarot!

1. How can I describe my relationship with myself?

Think about whether this card shows joy, conflict, difficulty or ease. Perhaps it will highlight where you are in your self-care and self-love journey.

2. What positive qualities am I forgetting to acknowledge?

What are the markers of this card or the key themes? How does this resonate with you?

3. What negative thoughts about myself should I let go of?

Think of what the card is showing. What negative thoughts might it represent? What is it telling you to let go of?

4. How can I nurture my relationship with myself in the future?

What qualities or actions does this card represent? Consider the suits – does it suggest finances, relationships, emotions, or educational pursuits? Does it show celebration, social pursuits, or introspective moments?

As always, I don’t advise using tarot prescriptively; I do, however, think it’s an excellent tool to support your reflections.

I’d love to hear the cards you get in your spreads and how you interpret them! Feel free to drop a reflection in the comments. Alternatively, why not join me over on Instagram or Facebook for a more fluid discussion?

I also have tarot cheat sheets available to support your work with tarot cards! You can purchase the digital downloads on Ko-Fi or Etsy.

If you’re not quite ready to take the plunge in doing readings for yourself, you may want to consider receiving an intuitive reading from me. I now offer digital readings via Ko-Fi and Etsy which are fully customisable to your needs and questions, or you can use one of the spreads from my blog as inspiration.
