To continue with the month of self-love, I thought it would be useful to share some ingredients that are useful for self-love rituals.
With these posts, I always try to make sure the ingredients are easy to find, so you’ll not find anything too obscure here!

Ways to Use Spell Ingredients
If you’re looking for some suggestions on how to use them, I’d recommend checking out some of my previous posts on simple rituals and intention-setting:

To summarise, though, you can use them in any way you wish. My favourite spells are simple: simmer pots and teas! However, I’m also a fan of placing ingredients in jars for decorative spell jars.
Easy-to-Find Ingredients for Self-Love Spells
- Burdock root – Typically used for cleansing, protection magic, and spells relating to self-esteem.
- Chamomile – Renowned for relaxation, chamomile can also promote healing, love, and stress reduction when used in rituals.
- Lavender – Another flower utilised in relaxation rituals, lavender can also be used to promote healing.
- Lemon – A tart citrus fruit, lemon is often included in cleansing rituals and removing blockages. The use of lemon can also promote spiritual opening, which may make you more open to change.
- Ginger – A spicy addition to the list, ginger can promote personal confidence, success, and a sense of adventure.
- Peppermint – Used to clear out negative energy, peppermint also has a refreshing kick that can encourage you to change your life.
- Pink Rose – Roses are noted as symbols of love in both floristry and witchcraft. In pink hues, they represent gratitude, joy, and friendship, rather than romantic love.
- Rosemary – Promoting good health, this kitchen staple can also assist in healing and clearer thoughts.
- Sage – In this context, sage can be used for improving mental clarity, removing negative energy, and general spiritual wellbeing rituals.
- Sugar – This sweet kitchen staple can sweeten attitudes when used in magic.
If you’re a bit short on time, you could check out my Adore range over on Etsy. I have simmer pots, spell jars, and ritual oils available at the time of posting.
